WHAT IS LASER HAIR REMOVAL?  HOW DOES IT WORK?
The laser emits a gentle beam of light that passes through the skin to the hair follicle where it is absorbed by the hair.  The laser energy is then transformed into heat which disables the follicle.  A cooling device provides the patient with increased comfort and protection by cooling the upper layers of skin.  This process causes permanent reduction of the hair and in most cases, permanent removal.

IS IT SAFE?
The lasers used for laser hair removal are passive; they leave no residuals.  Therefore, they are completely safe; all are FDA approved.

DOES IT HURT?
The degree of discomfort varies with each person, depending on his or her threshold.  Most individuals experience no more than a slight stinging sensation as the laser pulses are applied.  Most people say it feels like a rubber band snap to the skin.  Some parts of the body do tend to be more sensitive than others.

HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NEEEDED?
The number of sessions will vary for each individual and also will depend upon his or her skin color, hair color, the coarseness of the hair and the location of the hair on the body.  Over time, hair growth is greatly diminished.  Depending on the individual, it could take anywhere from four to eight treatments to achieve the desired result.

WHAT ABOUT HAIRS THAT DON’T RESPOND TO LASER TREATMENT?
We also offer electrolysis to remove very light hairs that cannot be “seen” by the laser.  A combined laser/electrolysis strategy is very effective for those clients with a mixture of light and dark hairs.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?
